My LifeJournal:My first set of keys

My first keys.

There was a time,
when I was walking home from school.
With my group of friends and this guy,
I was madly infatuated with.

One day he asked me,
"When will you get your first keys?"
"What?"
"Keys. When will you get your first keys?"
"Kiss?"
"Yes. Keys"

And I started to turn red.
The person I was smitten by,
was asking me when I'll get my first kiss?!
I was shocked, embarrassed, thrilled,
all at the same time.

And so I foolishly replied,
"Well, when it comes, it comes..."
My heart was singing, thinking stupidly,
that he's showing signs of liking me too.

"Keys, keys to your house la."
Ouuuuuuhhhhhh.

Deflated, embarrassed and shocked,
I just replied loudly, as if the loud sound
could cover up the silly notion that was
seeping out of my thick skull,
"OUHHH, that...erm...well when my
parents decide I suppose."

And I hurriedly change the subject.


And so, at 21, after my grandmother's demise,
my parents finally realised the
importance of me having the house keys.

And so, at 21, I'd gotten my first set of keys.
And I have a beautiful pastel coloured,
butterfly key rings from M&S London,
to ring the 2 keys up.

I feel sad today.
I'm not too sure why.
What's the reason being this sadness?
Only Allah knows.



And it's really strange.
How readily the tears start to roll.
Almost choking on my tears.

I went to Angsana and saw the 50mm f1.4.
It's the same freaking price but in RM.

Thus, I'm thinking of getting them there.
So much cheaper.

The long awaited series.
Finally it came, and Thursday will never be the same again.
It dawned on me that I would love this,
the moment it was featured during advertisements.
I was counting down to 15 Oct, and it came.


Richard Cypher is really, really, really hot.
Seriously yummy.

And Kahlan was amazing, how she rides the horse,
with her gorgeous dress flowing in slow motion,
behind her.

And really, the cinematography is mind blowing.
The visual effects are stunning.
The slow motion shots are amazing.

I am deeply impressed.

Till we meet again.

I wish for that cake, with 2 twos.

My LifeJournal: Hady's angry

I think Hady's angry at me for getting Elly.
He acted up today when I took him out.
Sighh.

The sensor in my camera had misaligned.
Meaning, the images I see through my viewfinder,
shifted from left to right, top to bottom

I think it's time to send Hady for
some servicing and fixing.

And I think it's seriously time to get
a dry cabinet.

Ahhh, my heart is aching.


Sigh.

Hady, you'll still be my No. 1.

Meet Elly.

Elly, my Holga Camera, films and adaptor.

My wrist strap with a tiny SLR.

No pink though. =(

But it's a beauty.


And so I'd been pondering over getting a film camera.
Went in and out of Amazon, Googling for advise and links.
And I finally found a local seller that sells online.

But Holga cameras are pretty new to me.
So I decided to be smart again,
and started reading up on how to use it,
how it works, how to load the film,
what is 6x6 mask,
In fact, I printed out and wrote down some notes.

The website really helped me a lot.
In just half an hour and all my questions,
had been answered.

See, I'm a smart shopaholic.
At least I did my due diligence.
Cos photography is such an expensive passion.
That one needs to ensure they are not impulsive.
One who is serious will learn how to use it first,
before purchasing them.
Otherwise, you'll just end up buying something
and displaying it on your shelves.

So I immediately went to town and bought my baby.
Cactus.
A little pricier as compared to the ones online.
But it's okay.

So I spent $167.30 on the following:


1. Holga 120 GCFN Red for $105.
2. Lomography BW 120mm 3 rolls $18.50
3. Fujicolour Superia 120mm 1 roll $5.80
4. Mini Les Ailes Strap Pink $16.00
5. 35mm Adaptor $22.00


So the next time, I'm purchasing my films online.
And this gorgeous Les Ailes French Strap at $30.

Hopefully the pictures turn out well.
Need to get black tape to avoid leaks.

And yes, Hady is still my No.1 Love.
