You know, its kinda fun toking to you like this. Late replies but it beats the e-mail =p
At least u got urs at a reasonable price. & the added benefit of a waranty.. I hv to be realy careful w Lucy.. =X
D60's not too bad, but If you look arnd, SOny's DSLR technology is a bit more advanced comparing to the others =p Tripod has it uses.. for long exposures, slow shutters, portraits, landscape etc. & glad to hear u've a bag, its the sony soft case is it? very important hen u're traveling.
You'll get used to it, no worries. I forgot to mention it'd be helpful if someone cd show you how to use a DSLR. Looks like we're gonna be SONY DSLR buddies, LOL. U can still ask other photogs but they wont our buttons and configuration is a bit diff =p The strange noise cd probably be the pre-focus sensor. Anything in front of the sensor activates it. You'll find it useful for hip shots 0;p
Exams are coming to an end.. 3 mths holiday after this wohoo!! I cant wait to be shooing actively agen, few shoots to cover and etc. Maybe we can meet up if I go SG for the hlidays? =p
Anyways, if you've got any Qs at all, dun hesitate yea. Ur Instruction manual is ur best fren ryt now, may nt understand but u will in time. For the mean time set ur camera settings to either auto or P. keep playing arnd w Hady, LOL

I set my lcd display to full settings preview. So i can see all the configuration =p Of corz la~ most photogs wd prefer Nikon or Canon. You'll memorize Hady's configuration in no time =)
I use the settings P - "programmed" so the flash doesnt pop out, but can be done manually. P is considered semi-automatic as aperture and shutter is set automatically. whereas everythig else u hv to set.
The manual is indeed ur best fren, hahaha. Tho practicals will help much more.
Maybe sometime in june-july I will drop by, huhu. I'm planning to pick up a few acessories ];)
& btw, its ok to fall in love =)
