My LifeJournal: My Many Choices

Marriz said: "so there u go.. :D lotsa choices.. hehehe"

And my many choices are...

After reading the specs of different EOS, 400D was the one that was calling out to me.

My first touch - which I'll never forget.

This one here, made me think twice.
EOS or Alpha?

Mirez said to post this to get views from other photogs.
Since he's bias towards Sony.
And Marriz is bias towards Canon.

If anyone has ever use the 3 above mentioned dSLRs,
tell me what you think of them.
Cause your views will influence my final choice !

:D

Seems like ur not into the liveview?

Anywys, before i had bought a DSLR i had tested D80 & 400D. The canon was abit old & I almost bought the Nikon instead.

But when I heard it was cheaper to get a Sony A200 from SG, I jumped at the chance at hv not regretted since.

Tho Sony may be new, but their technology is much more advance than most entry-level DSLRs. With
super steady shot inside, pre-focus sensor, D- range optimiser. BIONZ image processing.

Keep in mind, Sony supplies Nikon with image sensors. And Sony dd took over Konica Minolta's DSLR. Meaning to say Sony shd be reliabe enuf with its products.

Tho it depends really wat u plan to shoot w ur DSLR and wat would be ur allocated budget? Do u really need sth expensive?

A budget wd be a Nikon D60 and for quality D80. But if u can go all out, go for Sony A200

I got mine from Sim Lim, SG.
Bought
A200 kit- $980
Flash HVL F36- $272

& SAL75300 $350 from a fren.

For macro i use close-up filter +3 which i bought for $20
If you wana buy a dedicated macro lense.. it'll cost you abit more.

Any cam will work, provided you can use it well.

SAL1870 can be used for portrait & abit of macro. This is wat i usually use all the time.

SAL75300 maybe u can buy next tym.. used for head shot portraits, sports and nature =p

If u're shooting an event like a wedding, then an external flash is necessary.

Not dat Sony is ur best choice, but its quite cheap if im not mistaken in SG, compared to the other kit packages of the other cams right? =p

I suggest you wait it out abit more.. a lil patience wont kill.=)

If you want, add me up on msn and maybe we can tok abit?

In ur reply.. u sounded abit dissapointed, maybe restless for cam? LOL, Cheer up abit? =)

I hvnt been online, its my examination week & I'm abit depressed abt how things are on my side of life.

Anyways, If you're purchasing an item, make sure the waranty is genuine. Dun be afraid to test and ask arnd.

A warning tho, since sony DSLRs are quite new, be prepared to face discrimination from Canon and Nikon users. I've had my share of confrntation & most tyms I'm usually on my on. It be easier if u had frens wh use the same brand since u guys can switch arnd lenses, flash etc.

Basically up to you.. If you feel the Sony A200 single kit suites you, then go ahead and make that purchase =)

Remember, keep in mind the long term consequences. The budget. How much you are willing to spend on upgrades. Lenses, flash and accessories.

I think you're already decided. Do tell me how it goes?

If you do think you myt be cheated, then go ahead to a licensed Sony Centre, where the price maybe a $100 more. But at least its guaranteed to be original. =)
